Video conferencing app Google 'Meet' has recently announced a time limit for online classes and office meetings. Those who use the free version of the Meat app will only be able to hold a video conference for up to 60 minutes.
With time limits of up to 250 people, the conference will be limited to the use of sophisticated G-suite features such as live streaming and meeting recorded video saved on Google Drive. Google's new rules will be applicable from September 30.
Google Meet users can avail themselves of G-suite benefits by paying for a meeting for more than 60 minutes at a time. G-suite per user pays a minimum of ₹ 125 (basic) or ₹ 672 (business) per month.
Google has previously released a new feature that can see up to 49 people at a time. Only the web versions of the conference are able to see up to 49 people on the same screen at the conference.
Google Gmail has already rolled out the 'Meet' option in the mobile app. This allows you to attend meetings directly without using a separate app.
